Position Title: Assistant Cook
Reports To: Culinary Manager
Status: Full-time, Seasonal, Salaried Position
Location: Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP)Purpose:
The Assistant Cook will collaborate closely with the Culinary Manager to prepare and deliver high-quality meals for the Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP) company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Assistant Cook will provide the following services:
Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing meals according to established recipes and correct portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality.
Cooking and Baking: Help with cooking, baking, grilling, and frying various menu items as required by the daily menu.
Kitchen Sanitation: Ensure that food preparation areas are clean, sanitized, and meet safety standards at all times.
Food Handling: Follow all food handling procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
Food Receiving and Storage: Assist with receiving food deliveries, ensuring proper storage, and keeping track of inventory.
Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning cooking equipment, and disposing of waste as necessary.
Menu Planning: Contribute to menu planning and suggest ideas for new dishes or daily specials.
Event Preparation: Prepare food for TLP events and other special functions as scheduled.
General Support: Follow instructions from the Head Cook and senior management team, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or management to support the overall operations of the organization.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Extensive knowledge and experience in food service, including the use of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic and changing work environment.

Title: Box Office Assistant
Reports To: Front of House Manager
Status: Part-time, Seasonal, Hourly Position
Location: Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP)Primary Responsibilities:
The Box Office Assistant will be responsible for the following:
Patron Service: Provide excellent customer service to patrons both in person and over the phone, assisting with ticket sales and event-related inquiries.
Ticket Sales: Sell event tickets over-the-counter, via telephone, mail, and online platforms, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all orders.
Cash Management: Handle cash transactions, ensure accuracy in cash management, and comply with organizational cash-handling procedures.
Event Support: Assist with marketing support and promotional projects for upcoming ticketed events.
Information Distribution: Distribute promotional materials and event literature to patrons.
Event Inquiries: Answer questions and provide information about TLP shows, events, and ticketing procedures.
Office Closing: Assist with the closing of the box office, which includes preparing cash banks, updating seating charts, and ensuring all event information is accurate.
System Operation: Operate the online ticketing system, credit card equipment, and other related technology efficiently.
Qualifications:
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage ticket sales and cash transactions accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of customer inquiries and sales.
Knowledge and/or interest in TLP events and programming.
Proficiency in public relations and communication.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume sales environment.

Title: Bartender

Location: Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP)Purpose:
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional service by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons at Timber Lake Playhouse. This position plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience for guests before and during events while maintaining a clean and organized bar area and complying with all relevant health and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and Serve Drinks: Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Patron Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to patrons, ensuring a positive experience and assisting with any beverage-related requests.
Cash Handling: Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions, and ensure the proper closing of tabs.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout events. This includes wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and disposing of trash.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and report any shortages or needs to the front-of-house manager.
Compliance: Ensure all alcohol service complies with state and local laws, including checking identification for age verification.
Set Up and Breakdown: Set up the bar area before events, including organizing tools, garnishes, and drink supplies. Break down the bar area after events and ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
Health and Safety: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both patrons and staff.
Assist with Event Support: Help prepare the bar for special events, and offer suggestions to improve guest experiences.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous bartending experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, bartending techniques, and drink recipes.
Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Must have a valid bartending license or certification as required by local laws.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
